Carlos Nuñez Medina is a film composer based in Madrid Spain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in composition from the Royal conservatory of Music in Madrid and a Master degree in flute from the International University of Andalucia.
His music has been performed and recorded by difference orchestras (e.g. OCO, JORCAM) and ensembles (e.g. Trio Shinzo). He won several awards in classical music (II award for young composers FIDAH (2014), II International Award “Ciudad de Orihuela” (2015) and a special mention in the IX International Award “Francisco Escudero” (2016). He has also collaborated in projects like “Out of Scene” – a collaborative composition based in Chillida´s work – or “Voces” – scoring music for an ensemble and ballet.
Within the music for audiovisuals, he has worked for unmillóndeelefantes scoring different kind of music for the multimedia. He has received two special mentions in the Horror Hotel Film Score Competition (2017) and Sound of Silences Score Competition (2017) and the 4th place in the Indie Gathering (2017).
